How long do you have to keep papers from a former home business?
I was an Avon lady in 2003 (only). I'm wondering if it is now "safe" to pitch the customers' credit card copies, invoices, shipping statements, etc. (Is it like keeping old checks for 7 years - before the advent of computer banking, that is?)
7 years plus current. Even computer banking doesn't go that far back in most cases.

Yes, I know it would be expensive, but so is a lawsuit. And I would think they could get a pretty good contract rate with a cab company.
Believe me, I'm all for "personal responsibility," but it just seems like a bar could sell more booze of everyone knew they could get home safely.
I used to bartend at a high volume night club. All the bartenders would pitch in nightly to our cab fare fund. We would not have to use it that often, but it was there if we needed it. Many of our customers would come back the next day to thank us, and contribute to the cab fare fund
