How do I copy a large file over my home network?
I have both my computers setup for file sharing over my home network, which works great for files under 400MB. When I try to copy anything larger than this I get the error 'Make sure the disk is not full or write-protected and that the file is not currentlyin use.' It is not currently in use, and I have 160GB free on my HDD for it!
I have tried switching off my firewall to no avail, and like I said I can copy all other files, just not the large ones I want. THANKYOU!
You could try using something like FTP, which is designed to do this. Or try the xcopy command using the /Z switch. But I suspect that your network needs looking at. Some component isn't able to sustain the connectivity for the duration of the copy.
I had this on a wireless lan with reception being reasonable, not great. Stronger signals or just using a wired network solved it. As I couldn't boost the signal consistently, and a cable was easy to put in, I solved by switching to a wired network.

I lost the key to my file cabinet, Can home depot make a new one?
i lost the key to my 3 door file cabinet and it was the only key that I had. Can I go to home depot with the lock so that they can make another key? The file cabinet is not locked, so I can easily take the lock off and take it. I need to know ASAP. Thanks
Most plunger-type filing cabinet locks have a code number on the face. A locksmith can make a key from that number. It will help if you can provide the cabinet manufacturer's name, too.
Those who say a new lock is inexpensive are correct, but be sure you get an exact match. There are three sizes.
