he say's i am his wife now....but i don't feel it.?
the relationship is about 12 yrs now. we have 1 son. yes were not yet married, because he is not yet divorced. Although he keep telling me i am his wife now, idon't feel it.He is working outside of the country for 5 yrs. He is giving us only 10% of his salary. And when he comes home here, he is telling me that he bought jewelry amounting to big money and i put in the bank deposit, and he usually bought all his friends a branded gift when he is coming home here and when he goes back to his work place. Yes i feel jealous coz it seems that he is forgetting me, I am just pissed off coz i can't see the real meaning of wife that he keep telling me. Now i am tired and fed up. Do you blame me if oneday i will leave him?
He's a liar and a manipulator. He says you're his wife just to keep you around. You deserve a real commitment and it is out there. You need to cut him off and move on with your life. Sounds to me like he comes and goes as he pleases. Believe me, you are not his wife and this is not a marriage. You should dump him right now.

Seniors, what business' made up your Main Street back in the day?
We had the 5 and dime, PNHirsch, A&P Grocery, (which back in the 40s had a bowling alley above the store on the second floor.) I remember my dad talking about Greek's, a soda shop, which also had home made candy, which was displayed in the window. He said one of those taffy machines was in the window as well. I think that is so cool. We had 4 taverns, two movie theaters, one bank, one men's clothing store, two pharmacies, two womens clothing stores the courthouse, and a couple of lawyer offices, and two jewelry stores, one funeral home, along with a couple of pool halls. What remains today is sad, very few business, but there still is a Main St. in my hometown, just less than years ago.
We had a lovely Theatre (The El Portal), Bank of America, Thrifty Drug Store, Woolworth's, Rathbun's Department Store, Nudies Western Wear, a small appliance repair shop, office supplies, Leeds Shoe Store, A Hobby store where all the kids spent their pennies & many more shops that I can't recall at this time. Many of those buildings were torn down when the Metro Railway Center Station was extended to the North Hollywood Area of Los Angeles, California.
Fortunately, the old Post Office, Fire Station, Park, Pool & Library are still there & the old train station building was being restored on my last visit (5 years ago).
The one business I miss the most was the 50 foot donut that could be seen from just about anywhere! We also had bars & a strip joint & a little mini mart where all of us kids were allowed to buy cigarettes for our parents...yeech! (I'm glad this part of "Americana" is disappearing).
