We have a filtered water dispenser on our fridge door. Can the beta fish live in that water without any extra chemicals? I would let it get to the same temperature as the water he is currently in.
Someone I live with bought a fish and its living conditions are so crappy right now. This is the third time. I am trying to take care of it (because no one else will.) I don't want to buy "real" fish equipment, because I am seriously discouraging the purchase of more fish!!
So how can I (basically) put the little guy in hospice care and reduce his suffering?
ABOUT HEAT: We have some electronic equipment like a router that stays warm throughout the day. I could let the beta stay on it, except the cats always knock the router over. What's a safe and thrifty way to keep him/her warm?
it needs additives in the water for it to survive, just because its filtered doesnt mean its taking out every single hard metal. bottled water is actually tap water, just filtered, and its no better than tap water. these people saying you can use filtered water are probably the same kind of people that put fish in bowls and dont do regular water changes and because a fish lives a year, they think they're doing a great job. if you dont want the fish, take it to a pet store or give it to someone who is going to take proper care of it. water conditioner, especially for bettas, doesnt cost much, maybe $5 or so for a bottle and that should last a while.
as long as the fish is away from drafts or windows/doors and the temperature stays pretty constant it should be ok. the problem is when the temperature changes too quickly and the fish can't adapt properly, then it gets stressed & sick and will probably not survive.
thank you tho, for trying to be the responsible one who is taking care of the fish. it didnt ask to be kept this way and i'm sure if it had a choice it would've rather lived with someone who could take care of it the right way.

How to protect a Playstation 3?
Ok, so my bro & i planning on buying a ps3 this upcoming week. For instance after playing a game and turning it off, where should i keep the ps3? Like can i keep it on a shelf and cover it with which type of cloth? Is it safe to keep inside a cupboard once off? To prevent Dust coming in? And which vacuum should i use? Can i use my home vacuum or should i get hand-held vacuum from electronic shop?
All these question's run our mind, we just want to make sure how to take care of a ps3. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

If you keep your ps3 in an area that doesn't collect a lot of dust, you really don't need to keep it covered. I use a sheet to cover mine, that is just because my room gathers dust like crazy. There are certain kinds of cloths you can use. There are tons of micro fiber cloths or shammys that work real well with cleaning off the ps3. I use those, as well a the terry cloth that comes with the psp....if i spelled that cloth right. You can use a regular house vacuum with a hose attachment, you can use any vacuum as long as it's not that powerful. if you want to clean it, be careful of any chemicals you put on it, because they can mess up the finish. I use multi-surface pledge wipes or one of the pledge dusters....they work pretty good
