Itch Safe
is it safe to counteract opiate itches with diphenhydramin?
Is it a safe practice to counteract the itching side effects of many common opiates with a diphenhydramin product such as Benadryl Allergy?
Diphenhydramine (brand name Benadryl)is an antihistamine and a product that ER Dr's prescribe commonly for allergic reactions such as hives and bee-stings. In fact, many of the bee-sting kits have it in them. Aside from the similar side effects of possible drowsiness and/or dizziness which also can occur with opiates, it can be used. Just be aware of the separate and cumulative effect of sedation which could occur.

Is it safe to use cortisone cream while pregnant?
im a little over 4 months pregnant and i think i might have either a yeast infection or vulvitis cause i itch on the outside and it just started for no reason, i read somewhere cortisone cream should clear the itching up but i don't know if its safe to use while pregnant?
Yes it's safe to use for a yeast infection. I had one during one of my pregnancies and the doctor prescribed it along with the insert tabs. My son was born very healthy and happy.
