Jewelers Vault Safe
law question please help?
Petar and Charita decide to burglarize Superior Jewelers. Thier friend Alyssa, an employee at superior, helps by telling them the location of the store vault. Charita Drives a van to the store and keeps a look out while petar goes inside and cracks the safe. Petar later meets a friend, Shane, who was not involved beforehand. Shane is told about the burglary and helps petar get a train out of town. Kristen, a former classmate of petar and Chartia's, witness the crime but does not tell the police, even though he reconizes both Petar and Chartia. How will each person be charged in this situation? Please Explain ur answer to why they are charged that way!
They will be charged under the laws of place where this occurred. What country? What state?
Anyway, US common law principles will charge Petar and Charita with burglary and larceny, Alyssa with larceny (not burglary unless at the time she entered the store it was with intent to commit a crime), all three with conspiracy to commit burglary and larceny, Shane as an accessory after the fact and Kristen with nothing at all.
