Jewelry Safe Personal
what is the safest way to mail an extremely expensive piece of jewelry? FEDEX has a $100 maximum regardless.?
It is coming from the middle east (as a personal gift) and I want to make sure it isn't stolen (which is a huge possibility), and that I don't pay for $40k insurance and only get $100 back when it comes up missing. Is my only option physically going overseas to retrieve the item!?
FEDEX only allows $100 max if the package is stolen--no matter how much I insure it for. DHL apparently can't cover it either. I don't know how to find a private courier in the middle east who ships to the U.S
The issue is finding someone who will honor the amount of the value of the item --- it doesn't do me any good to insure the item for 40k if they only pay $100 should it come up missing.
What about a private courier?
UPS or DHL cannot assist?

Student Security - Don't be a Clown!
women and stress?
how is a woman supposed to deal with so many major life changes like being a single mom, having to resign from a job she loved cause of her personal associations, being sued for over 1k, losing her home, having to move to a less desirable area, someone breaking into her home and stealing her safe and all jewelry, moving in with boyfriend who within 3 wks gets a restraining order know you have nowhere else to go? Can anyone tell me the right way to deal with all that within a 10 moth period?
My dear, there is no "right" way to deal with that much unrest. All you can do is remind yourself that things DO get better and to just take one day at a time.
Rely on your friends and family to act as support and sounding boards (sometimes all people need is someone to listen and commiserate with...not FIX the problem).
I do wish you well....I've been in similarly horrible situations and I'm here to tell you that things do improve. Good luck.
