Jewelry Safes I'm allergic to fake Jewelry, can i still get my belly pierced?
I'm over allergic to fake jewelry, is it going to be safe enough for me to get my belly done?
Yes, of course you can still get pierced! You should never wear any type of fake/crappy metal in any piercings.
You need to get either Titanium (the best- the least chance of allergic reaction), Surgical Stainless Steel 316LVM, or PTFE. These are all safe for you to use.
You should never wear gold in a healing piercing. Gold actually is the most common for allergic reactions, due to all the nickel content in it. Once you're healed, if you wear gold, it must be nothing lower than 24K.
We all have our secret hiding places around the house where we stash our valuables. Some people use a drawer in their dresser, keep goods under a mattress, and some even try hiding extra cash in their freezer. Burglars are good at finding these special hiding places. One answer is to get a traditional locking safe, but one that is heavy enough to discourage theft will generally be rather expensive. BrickHouse Security has a simple and affordable solution that's as discrete as it is clever. Choose from one of 3 functional household items that have been specially designed to conceal your valuables. These are not simply safes camouflaged to look like something else, but they are fully functioning products, whether you choose the hair brush, lint roller, or aluminum spray bottle. Protect your valuables with a diversion safe and be confident that no one will find your secret stash. Storage Capacity Brush 18 cubic inches Lint Roller 38 cubic inches Spray bottle 62 cubic inches

I had my bell pierced last February 5, 2008. Is it safe to change the jewelry now?
It doesnt hurt anymore. I can slide the starter jewelry back and forth without feeling any pain. But I researched about it and it says that healing time is between 4months to a year. Its been 3 months since I pierced it. So I'm not really sure If i can actually change it now. Thanks!
4 months to 1 year is generally how long it takes to heal. Some people's can heal much faster but the majority of people will get infected if they try removing jewellery too early, it's best to play it safe.
Your jewelery is very pretty, and I like the cause you're going for.
I think that focusing your efforts on one thing is a better idea. To break it down into numbers lets run a hypothetical:
Say you raise $500 and you want to help 5 charities. That's $100 a piece for each charity. Lets look at what they could buy for $100(if say you were giving it to a shelter):
kuranda bed ($60 Canadian) General supplies totally $40.
Whereas if they had $500 to spend, they could perhaps use it towards more things.
Another thing you could do is make the money you make grow. Instead of taking the money you raised for the cause and giving it to them immediately, open a savings account that gives you interest (ING is a good one). Put the money you are going to donate to them into that account. The more money you put into it, the more interest you gain. THEN you could take the interest and donate it. That way, there will always be an amount for you to donate!
For example; Say you raise $500 and you put it into an account that gives you 3.5% per year. That's $17.50 per year in interest. If you continue to run fundraisers and add to the total amount that's in the account, say raise it to $1000, you'll have more interest to give, ie: $35 per year. It may look small to start, but the more money you keep adding into that account the larger the interest the more often you can donate. That's just another idea for what you can do WITH the fundraiser money.
I'd say though, go with one cause. Put your eggs in one basket (with this fundraiser). If you want to help another cause, do another fundraiser for that particular cause. That way you can teach the public about one issue at a time, rather than overload them. Sometimes when people are faced with a plethora of problems it makes them feel helpless and it makes them feel that no matter how much money they give the problem isn't going to get fixed. However if you focus on one problem, they'll feel better and perhaps buy more which in turn helps you because they feel they are truly contributing.
Good Luck!! Dog jewelery would be cute but maybe look into doing rhinestone collars or something so that the animal isn't at risk for chewing small pieces that could harm them.
