Keep Safe Portable
Build a small locked box?????
I just got a new diary and I want to build a portable, locking, wooden box to keep it in. Almost like a safe that I can carry.
( L x W x H = 7" x 1" x 8 1/2" )

You will need 3' of 1/2"x12"
Measure them against your diary before cutting so you can get it in and out easily.
You will need 2 at 7"+ a little.
You will need 2 at 8 1/2+ a little.
You will need 2 piece of 1/8 ply or similar
You will need 8 L shaped bracked metal sections.
You will need 16 one way headed bolts, preferably 32. (they do up, but can't be undone) to hold the frame together. You could use more to hold the ply hinges and box lock on

Portable GPS Navigation Unit Cheap n Easy Way To Stay Found
What is the proper way to store a portable oxygen tank? Is it safe to keep it next to a photo-copy machine?
There is a portable oxygen tank stored directly next to a photo-copy machine in a room with many computers and laser printers at my work. I almost want to refuse to work further until it is moved. Should I and my colleagues be concerned for our safety?
This would be a far from ideal location to store oxygen cannisters. I have training in the storage and useof oxygen cylinders used for medical purposes but the principles should be the same.
Compressed gas is potentially very dangerous and should be kept away from sources of heat and dust. Should the cannister be knocked over and damaged this can be dangerous too. Your employer should be aware that if there is a fire the cannister would be very likely to explode.
Gas cylinders should always be stored in a secure area. I am wondering why there is a need for oxygen to be kept in an office area anyway (unless there is an employee that requires it at all times).
It is highly unlikely that the cylinder would cause an imediate risk to your health and safety unless it is damaged but i would strongly advise that you request your employer to move it as this is not an appropriate or safe place to store such equipment.
