Key Outside Yard
the dog went loco.running like crazy.?
yesterday,i went outside to take the dog for a walk. he just went crazy and speedily ran around the yard like wild. he did this for about 5 minutes he seemed to be enjoying it. talk about running fast. is this normal?he jumped over walls and was running non stop all over the yard! i never knew he could run like that! hes a mixed chow.. i thought chows were low key?
All my dogs go nuts once in a while. Its like when a small child runs in circles and shakes his head being silly, Its just fun and lets off some energy!!!

I have a six month old Chihuahua. She tends to eat everything she finds - in the house or in the back yard - which concerns me. Last night she was throwing up. I took her outside and she was still gakking, trying to throw up. She suddenly flipped over, legs straight in the air (as though paralyzed), and appeared unconscious or something for a second. I grabbed her thinking she was choking. She yelped and ran off. She was a bit low key for an hour or so and then she was her active, jumping around self. What happened???
Take this from a Vet Tech: It sounds like a seizure. A simple blood test can determine this & seizures can be controled with medication.
Secondly, eating random things can cause obstructions in internal organs that have to be surgically removed. If not noticed, the dog will die. What the dog to make sure it doesn't get into anything foreign.
