Kind Ranch Style
What color shutters should i put on my brick home?
IT'S AN ORANGE COLORED BRICK, KIND OF ROSE COLOR. IT IS A 1960 RANCH STYLE BRICK HOME WITH A FLAT FRONT AND THE GARAGE DOOR FACING IN THE FRONT, AS WELL. THE ROOF WAS PUT ON A YEAR BEFORE WE BOUGHT IT, AND THEY ROOFED IT WITH GREY SHINGLES. I NEED TO GET ADVICE ON THE COLOR OF THE SHUTTERS. PLEASE HELP.
Well, if there are gray colored shutters available that would match your roof shingles, that would be one option. Another color that goes well with orange colored brick is green. I'm thinking more of a sage green if available. The last choice in my opinion would be blue. Because blue and orange are opposites on the color wheel they compliment each other. Blue would also go well with your gray roof. Good luck. You can do this! If you can hold the sample of colored shutter on your brick house and think of it as an outfit. Then you can decide what looks best.

colonial and ranch. sales experience has taught him that he should plan to build at least three times as many ranch style houses as colonial. if he makes a profit of 5,000 on each colonial and 4,500 on each ranch how many of each kind should he build to maximize the profit? what is the maximum profit?
I think the play of this hand is pretty much forced -- by the description, you HAVE to have at least 3 ranch homes for each colonial, but you make more money off the colonials. So, make the maximum 1 colonial for every 3 ranch homes to maximize your profit.
