Laptop Safes Why is there an unexpected shutdown with my laptop?
Before when I would close my laptop without shutting it down, it would just log out and when I opened it it would be in the page where you place the password. I would enter the password and everything would resume.
Now when i close it its turns off but the little light doesn't turn off. When i open it, the screen stays off and when i turn it back on, it says there was an unexpected shut-down and asks me whether I want to run my laptop in safe mode or normal mode etc.
I Have a Dell Inspiron. Please can anyone help ?
Check your settings in Power Options. It must be in Laptop mode and in Advanced settings, it must go on Standby when lid is closed.
If the settings do not work, try a system restore to a date when laptop was fine. OR clean up/repair the Registry with registry utility software.

How can i make make my laptop safe to turn on whilst flying?
I'm traveling to Australia soon and I was wondering if there is a way yo make my laptop safe to use whilst on the plane. Thanks for your help if you answered!
The only way to get a true answer is to ask the Airline or the cabin staff when you board!
One thing is certain you wouldn't be allowed to use it during take off or landing!
