Large Usb Data
My PC won't copy large files to my WD passport 320 GB external HD, but the other way around it will. Anyone?
It will work on another pc though, so the problem must be with my PC I Guess. It is a Dell Dimension 5150 and has 2 usb ports on the front and 4 on the back. The PC will also occasionally freeze when the HD is connected, on disconnect it will behave normally again. Also, my USB wireless adapter sometimes becomes dysfunctional when the HD is connected.
WD -> PC = normal data transfer
PC -> WD = only small files (<10mb or so)
Added details:
It used to work until a day or two ago so system specs should be fine. When I copy files larger than (approx) 100 mb, it will start but constantly change estimate remaining time and never finish.
Solved!
The USB wireless adapter is a bulky thing, as soon as I connected it with a USB extension cord -thus taking away the bulkiness-, it all works again. So it was merely mechanical hindrance 
maybe a problem with the motherboard get your computer checked at a good computer store in your city

Computer Crashes when adding data to USB?
hi,
i have a windows vista (to my dismay) and after a Huge poop around on its behalf not booting up i have been left unable to sync my ipod (i have 1700 songs and it stops at about 1000 and hard drive stops) it also happens with my portable hard drive with large amount of data.
can you help me out please!

Sounds like your hard drive is corrupted. Run a chkdsk in your command prompt. You might have to get a new hard drive if this keeps on happening.
