Lock Luggage Locks
Place to lock up luggage in NYC?
I have to check out of my hotel at noon, but my plane doesn't leave until 7pm. Is there any place where I can lock up my luggage? I know at some hostels there are lockers in the lobby. But anybody know where there is one near Times Square? thanks...
I'll need somewhere to put my luggage so I can get around the city easier, for a few hours till I have to get to the airport.

Should I put my video camera and case in my check in luggage with tsa lock?
I would like to pack my video camera into my luggage with a TSA approved lock on it, so I won't have to carry it around the airport. My video camera is in a hard camera case. Will my camera be safe? Safe from being stolen? Safe from damage?
Inside its own hard case, it is probably safe from damage.
Whether or not it is safe from theft is a whole different question. I have TSA approved locks and they seem almost totally useless to me. Looks like you could just pop them open with a pair of pliers and a twist of the wrist - might not even need the pliers.
I don't even bother to lock the suitcase any more.
Personally - I would carry it with you even though it is a pain in the butt. If you carry it, perhaps you could leave the hard case at home.
