Locker Safe Is this safe or right for a school to do?
Our school has no a/c, however, we have a lot of entrances to it, one entrance is by my locker, one is by another row of lockers, the main entrances, the back entrances, and the other hallway entrances from outside. Is it safe to leave them wide open all day? What is someone just walks in? Is it safe?
Unfortunately, in this day and age, it's not safe to leave doors open even to escape the heat. The school is morally and legally responsible for protecting its students. Knowing what we know today about security risks, and in view of all the bad things that have happened in schools, there is no excuse for this. It would be far less costly to invest in air conditioning than to risk losing lives. At the very least, these entrances should be guarded and monitored with cameras. It's sad that it has to be this way, but it really does.
