Military Police Interrogation
Despite the Supreme Court ruling, restriction of gun ownership has always been part of the Patriot Act...?

although it has never been enforced. It is also part of bush's more recent Military Commissions Act, which also legalizes bush's "enhanced interrogation techniques" and strips Habeas Corpus from the Constitution. Whether the gun restrictions under that law too will ever be enforced, the country will not know until the day martial law is imposed upon America.

These bush laws provide the groundwork for a Soviet-style police state to very rapidly spring into existence should a president, for whatever reason, decide to declare a state-of-emergency.

How many of bush's supporters these past 7 years would continue supporting him if he or any future neocon president ever felt his political power to be so threatened by the American citizenry that he decides to enforce these now-legal gun-restriction provisions on the American people?

No it isn't. Here is the document, could you point out the part restricting gun ownership of US Citizens.

To deter and punish terrorist acts in the United States and around the world, to enhance law enforcement investigatory tools, and for other purposes. Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

High Quality Content by WIKIPEDIA articles The Special Interrogation Group (SIG) (some sources interpret this acronym as Special Identification Group or Special Intelligence Group) was a unit of the British Army during World War II. It was organized from Germanspeaking Jewish volunteers from the British Mandate of Palestine. The SIG performed commando and sabotage operations against Axis forces in the Western Desert. The idea to create the SIG belonged to Herbert Cecil A. Buck, MC of the Punjabi Guards and Scots Guards, an Oxford scholar and German linguist who was captured and escaped from Egypt using German uniform. He subsequently became the SIG commander. In March 1942, Col. Terence Airey (Military Intelligence Research at the War Office in London) wrote that a Special German Group as a subunit of Middle East Commando... with the cover name Special Interrogation Group, to be used for infiltration behind the German lines in the Western Desert, under 8th Army... the strength of the Special Group would be approximately that of a platoon... The personnel are fluent German linguists... mainly Palestinian (Jews) of German origin. Many of them have had war experience with 51 Commando... The Tupamaros Interrogate Dan Mitrione: Rare Audio Recording (1970)

Can you name this movie?

They showed us a clip from it in military justice class back in early 2004.

The clip was in a police interrogation room.

A black plainclothes cop is giving his suspect the Miranda warning, but he stops after every line just to say why it's a bad idea.

"You have the right to remain silent....sure, you COULD do that, but..."

Of course, the suspect cracks after getting the Miranda warning with editorial additions by the supercool cop.

Any idea what this flick is?

It was also in many episodes of "Homicide: Life on the Streets."

One Response to “Military Police Interrogation”

  1. I'm not going to read your entire statement. Save it for when you submit your testimony in court.

You are innocent until proven guilty.

Before the police officers can take you into custody and question you, they must read you the "Miranda Rights." This includes the right to remain silent and the right to an attorney.

If you ask for an attorney, you have the right to speak with the attorney without answering any questions asked by the police.

All states require that all interrogations be recorded and submitted for review by a judge in case a criminal trial should arise.

The mistake that most people make is asking for an attorney when the police officers actually witnessed you conducting criminal activity, or caught you "red handed."

What can an attorney do, or how can they help when you and everyone knows you're guilty? The only thing there is to do would only be to reduce your crime to a minor infraction and hence a less severe punishment.

Edit: Yeah, the ACLU nor anyone else can't help you. Sit back and go with the flow. Read some law textbooks and brush up on some legal terms. Nolo offers some textbooks for beginners and do-it-yourselfers. Next time, they won't scare you.
