How to make electronic smokes in a model volcano?
I build a model volcano but I wanna make it more realistic,and I think I should make an electronic that produces smoke with just a press of a button.
Used to be able to get "modules" that produced smoke for electric powered model "steam" engines
I fairly certain than all they are are a length of resistance wire, which heats up, and burns/vaporises oil?

How to make a electronic beeper for a model rocket?
I am looking for some way to use a piezo beeper with a AA or 9 volt battery in a model rocket. I want the beeper to start beeping when the parachute is deployed. This will help us find the rocket if it goes down in the woods or a corn field. I thought about using a mecury switch with a latching relay, but my local radio shack don't have either componet and I can't find a micro latching relay on the net that is compatable with the voltages I want to use. Does anyone else have any other ideas or designs that would work? If so where can I purchase the componets? Thanks
One of the simplest approaches I can think of is to hard-mount a simple, metal spring-like switch (think "V" spring, not the coil like in a pen) over a plate mounted to the inside of the tube. One wire goes to the spring, the other to the plate. Then, place a small, narrow piece of flame-proof wadding between the switch and plate, with the other end of the wadding tied to the parachute rip cord. The idea is that as the parachute is ejected, it will pull the wadding from between the switch contacts and start the buzzing.

Just make sure that if you use a "V" shaped spring, you mount it such that the wadding is pulled toward the top of the spring, vice toward the point. Else, it may catch. i.e., in my ascii drawing above, the wadding should be pulled off to the left side.
