How do I transfer a photo onto a coffee cup/mug at HOME?
How do I transfer a photo onto a coffee cup/mug at HOME?
Not with http://www.shutterfly.com, not with cafepress.com,
not with a service you pay for. I know how to pay other
people to do it. I want to know how the TRANSFER PROCESS works.
Please also write about the requirements,
eg. will a color deskjet/inkjet be sufficient? Do I need a colour-laser?
What chemicals do I need. And if you mention a temparature, plaes eadd Celsius or Fahrenheit. THANKS
Buy transfer paper at a crafts or paper store, print out the design you want (in reverse). Go to Kinko's or another copy store and make a color xerox onto the transfer paper. now use it like a temporary tattoo- - get the back wet and place the transfer design where you want it. Leave it for about 30 seconds, remove the ab ck paper an oila, you are done. TO make it waterproof and dishwasher safe, then bake the mug with the design on for 15 minutes at 350 degrees (no plastic mugs them, only ceramic or porcelain). The transfer paper packaging will also tell you if their transfers require a different time or temperature, but what I said is the standard.

In cooking 'cup' means the similar size of a mug / cup and saucer cup?
Usually it refers to the cup (of a cup & saucer set) not a mug.

A cup, in general, equals 8 oz.
I believe a cup of coffee should be 8 oz,
but for some reason many places have
6 oz or even 16 oz cups.
