Office Safe Retail
Does this sound to good to be true?
I was at my job (retail) and a woman approaches me and started up a conversation and we talked for a little while. Then she told me that she was a manager for a office and was wondering if I was interested in a part time or full time job. She didn't give me any specific information about the company except it was office work and the location. So we exchanged numbers. The next day she called me to set up an interview.
I want to know does this sound to good to be true? What questions can I ask to make sure this is a legitimate company so that I can keep myself safe?
Well if she gave you the address and the name of the position, there is no reason why you shouldn't atleast check it out. During the interview she will ofcourse go over the job duties, and then from there you can decide.

Sydney vs Melbourne?
Were moving to Australia from New Zealand in the next 6months.
I want to go to Sydney and the other wants to go to Melbourne. I like fast places that are busy and lively and she likes slower places that are still fast, busy and lively.
Which of the two cities are safer? Which has better employment opportunities? We will look at retail, office or maybe factory work.
I know Melbourne is slightly cheaper.. but is it REALLY that much cheaper to live in than Sydney. We don't want to live in the CBD. But within 30mins of the CBD.
Weather is kind of important, and we like shopping, occasionally hit the beach, love night life and socialising.
Is Melbourne really better than Sydney as so many people say? And why do they say that? A culturally diverse place isnt all that important to us. We just want somewhere where we can get a job, have a social life, relax when we want to, have fun, and live life to the full. And a place that has everything we need..

Housing affordability in Melbourne is becoming like Sydney's. The city is growing very fast.
I'm from Sydney and I can tell you I am satisfied with the safety of it. I live in the area with the highest crime levels but I have not encountered anything before, touch wood. The northern part and inner-west are the safest.
Weather... Melbourne tends to have more extreme weather. It can change greatly in one day from freezing cold to boiling hot. Sydney's weather is milder on the other hand.
For shopping, Melbourne has better places to shop. The items are also cheaper. Many Sydneysiders occasionally fly to Melbourne to do their shopping - it is just an hours flight. Beaches in Sydney are better.
Night live is active in both cities with many night clubs in the CBD area.
For employment, I won't say Melbourne is any better than Sydney or vice versa. Melbourne is becoming a lot like Sydney.
In the end, it is up to you to make your own judgements. Those are just from my personal experience and knowledge.
