Piece Sensor
Cold air intake Mass air flow sensor problem?
I just installed a cold air intake to my car that is made up off three pieces the piece for the mass air flow sensor and a piece for the breather and lastly the cone air filter. what happens when i turn on the car is that my engine shakes and eventually dies. i checked all the connections and hoses every thing is fine and connected nothing is getting pinched. what could cause this problem. The mass air flow sensor is just fine cause i put back my stock filter on for now and no problem. please help. thank you
well the cold air intake is your problem .take it to a shop and have them install it and see what happens . it might also help to let us know what kind of vehicle this thing is going on

serpentine belt shredded and piece wrapped around crank shaft. is crank sensor located there? engine wont run.?
timing belt is intact. have spark but will not start. timing belt appears to be ok. i am looking location of crank sensor. this is a 95 ford escort 1.9 liter.

It seems conceivable that the belt may have wrapped itself around the toothed ring, interfering with the sensor reading them, but maybe more likely is that it could have damaged the wiring or connector, so be sure to check that.
