Pistol Aluminum Range

Looking for your opinions for a reliable, inexpensive 9mm pistol?
Hello I turned 21 recently and will be looking to make my first pistol purchase this summer. I am wondering what your opinion is a great sidearm given these following personal preferences of mine:
-Inexpensive (Would really like to spend $400 or less)
-Brand new (Not interested in a used gun for my first one at least)
-All/mostly steel/aluminum/metal construction (I don't like polymer/plastic frames... feels like an airsoft gun to me)
-Hi capacity prefered (would like in the 15 range, but I can budge on this)
-I'm not dead set on a 9mm, just looking for a powerful enough round to be effective for self defence... id be open to .45 or .44 magnums.. etc.
Thank you for your insight.
All metal for $400. Look no farther than a Stoeger Cougar. Academy sells them every day for $399.
It is nearly identical to the Beretta PX4, except the Beretta has a plastic frame. Actually it is the old Beretta Cougar that was replaced by the poly frame PX4.
Its an excellent gun, and comes in 9mm, 40, or 45 acp.
Some will turn their nose up at the Stoeger, but it is unfounded. These are over looked gems.
You may can find some Taurus pistols with all metal frames. The 945, 940, 938, 909, 911 are all metal frames.

| | Pistol River $66.91 Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. The Pistol River is a coastal stream that meanders for about 20 miles (32 km) through the Southern Oregon Coast Range to the Pacific Ocean near the unincorporated community of Pistol River in the U.S. state of Oregon. Flowing generally southwest from its origin near Sugarloaf Mountain in the Siskiyou National Forest, the river enters the sea at Pistol River State Scenic Viewpoint, 10 miles (16 km) south of Gold Beach. The river received its name after pioneer James Mace lost his pistol in it in 1853. The Pistol River supports populations of Chinook salmon, threatened Coho salmon, steelhead, and cutthroat trout. The river flows generally through forests where logging has damaged the fish habitat. Work to restore the habitat is ongoing. Milkor MGL Mk 1 forty mm grenade launcher - S
milkor MGL Mk one forty mm grenade launcher - South Africa
The Milkor MGL 6-shot 40mm grenade launcher is the world's first industrially produced multi-shot 40mm hand-held weapon. Developed by the South-African company Milkor, it entered production in 1983, and served with South-African Countrywide Defense Forces for at least 20 years. Since the 1996, an improved version of the basic design entered the production, it has been chosen MGL Mk.1. The Milkor MGL is also employed by more that 20 other nations around the world. Milkor MGL offers important firepower increase, compared to US-made M79 single shot 40mm launcher. The rapid-fire capacity ( 6 shots in less that three seconds) is important in ambush situations and in quick-pacing urban warfare. The Milkor Mk.1 is now available for export, and a nearly precise copy of Mk1, is made in Croatia by the RH Alan company as RGB-6. The latest alterations of the Mk.1 launcher, which are made in South Africa and offered in USA with permission by Milkor are the Milkor Mk.1S and Milkor MK-140. These two launchers differ from original Mk.1 by having stronger, chrome steel frame (as opposed to the original aluminum frame ), as well as by having 4 Picatinny-type accessory rails round the barrel. The variation between Mk.1S and Mk-140 is the length of the cylinder - while Mk.1S keeps the first cylinder, the Mk-140 has a longer cylinder, which can accommodate a greater diversity of the less-lethal 40mm ammunition, which typically has longer warheads. Both types also fire all standard 40x46mm 'lethal' ammunition, including HE, HE-FRAG, HEDP and others.
The Milkor Mk.1 is a revolving type, hand held grenade launcher. The six-shot cylinder is rotated by the clockwork-type spring for each shot. Spring is wound manually in the reloading. For reloading, the rear part of the frame (along with the pistol grip) is unlocked and then rotated sideways round the top strut of the frame, till the chambers in the cylinder are exposed for reloading. Once cylinder is reloaded, the rear part of the frame is rotated back and locked into position. The double-action firing mechanism has a manual safety above the pistol grip. All Mk.1 launchers are fitted with the red-dot type sight, with range scale. Modern versions, M.1S and Mk.1L, also be fitted with other sorts of sighting equipment, using Picatinny rail on the pinnacle of the barrel. The top folding shoulder stock has a rubber recoil pad.
I don't remember ever seeing these videos of the Milkor MGL grenade launcher on Youtube before, so I have spliced them together and uploaded them. The MGL is a repeating 40mm grenade launcher that uses a revolver-style magazine. It can fire any NATO low-velocity 40mm grenade, and has a 6-round capacity. It's rate of fire is approximately the equivalent of 60rpm, when rapid firing. The MGL has been exported and/or built with permission in at least 30 countries, including the United States of America, who ... Great MGL systems from M-32

I started shooting handguns at age 8, and I am so much faster on quick draw, and quick draw and fire, from a normal concealed carrying position, with a 1911-style single action auto, that using anything else seems like a bad idea, at least for me. Personally, I prefer the 5" barreled versions, because the 5" barrel length does not slow my particular draw, and I would rather have the better ballistics as compared to a shorter barrel.
Addition: Kyojin is very large and very strong, which is why he can do what he can do with the pair of .44 Magnums. I think it is important to remember that, no matter strong one is, or how fast one can fire a .44 Magnum at multiple targets, the same person can fire faster with a gun that recoils less. I can hit 6 1-gallon jugs from the draw at 80 feet in a lot less than 4 seconds using my 1911. I think, for quick draw for defense, that speed is extremely important, and the power of the 1911 is quite sufficient. Using a .44 Magnum for that purpose would provide far more power than necessary (unless we are discussing quick draw against bears), and it would only slow the rate of rapid fire. The difference in speed might be small, but it would still be there, and it could be the difference between living and dying.
