what can I do to make fingerprints show up better when being fingerprinted for professional certificate?
My fngers are very small and fingerprints do not scan very well. Last time I had to try 4 times before they "took".
If you go to someone who is well trained - let them them do all the work and don't try to "help" them. This is what causes most re-takes.

I'm looking into this as a new direction in my professional life, (so bored with admin. assistant position at this point) and would like to know if any of you do it, or know someone who does?
Salary depends on location of job.
Well, in the county I live in, we call them "Fingerprint Examiners" and "Fingerprint Technicians." This is in Southern California.
The beginning salary for a fingerprint examiner is $21.61/hourly ($3,746.36/monthly or $44,956.29/annually). The highest salary for the highest classification of fingerprint examiner (supervisor) is $32.10 hourly ($5,563.24 monthly / $66,758.85 annually).
Fingerprint Technicians - range from $16.76 / hourly ($2,905.67/monthly or $34,868.08/annually) to $24.31 hourly ($4,214.44 monthly / $50,573.33 annually).
