Rechargeable Desiccant
How can I keep a Li-ion battery dry in a refrigerator?
Heat is the mortal enemy of Li-ion rechargeable batteries, and so various sites recommend storing them in a dry environment below 40 degrees F. So I stuck it in the fridge for a couple of hours today, and when I took it out it was all wet and... sticky.
It's an 8.0'' x 1.5'' x 3/4'' battery for a laptop. It does fit into a Ziploc bag, but I'm afraid that even just moisture in the air in the bag will condense in the fridge. What to do?
Who would've guessed that one day I would find a reason to keep those little desiccant packets...
Well usually you don't need to go to these kind of extreme measures unless you're storing the battery for a very long time. The best you probably could do is vacuum sealing the battery. Personally I would keep my batteries away from my food especially in case something goes wrong. Good luck. Or you can try finding some place that sells those packets
