What is the best rifle/shotgun under $250?
I am looking for a cheap rifle or shotgun for target shooting. What is the best rifle or shotgun I can get under $250?
I have a mossberg 500 so i really looking for a rifle.
depending on where u live and whats available you can get a surplus gun like a Yugo m48 a kar 98 or a SKS for pretty cheap along with the ammo (only buy a Yugo or Russian sks Chinese make shit guns). That or if you wanna invest in a damn good shotgun that will last your life get a Remington 870 http://www.remington.com/products/firearms/shotguns/model_870/model_870_express_super_magnum_synthetic.asp this 1 is mine it chambers anything and is very dependable.

If You Own Firearms You need a Gun Safe
If you are living my dream of a one room log cabin with the bedroom in the loft in Montana, Wyoming, Colorado or Canada with rifle hanging on the wall close to the door leading out to the front covered porch. This article is not for you. If you are the majority like me then read on.
If you are a gun owner of a rifle, shotgun, pistol or any firearm then you should have a way to protect not only the investment that you have in the firearms but, your love ones as well. Making sure that unauthorized people do not have access to your firearm will keep everyone safe. An Unauthorized person might be that would be thieve that knows your are out of town on vacation with your family or friend but, it could also be the tiny little hands of a curious child that just for a second was out of sight of mom or dad.
Gun safes will give you that protection and peace of mind. There a wide variety of gun safe out there. You can even go to your local Wal-Mart store or sporting goods store the purchase an inexpensive gun safe or gun cabinet for your home. One of my favorite sporting goods store is Cabela’s. Cabela’s has one of the largest selection of makes and models of gun safe in one place. There are a lot of gun safe brands out there. They range from the very inexpensive to it would take the gold in Fort Knox to pay for it and if I spent the gold I would not need the gun safe. You the consumer will have to decide what style or brand best meets your needs. How many guns do I have, are they all rifles and shotguns, how do I store a pistol in my gun safe, will the safe protect my firearm in case of fire, water damage, where can I put my gun safe, how much does it weigh, do I fasten it to the wall or floor, these are some of the questions you should ask yourself before you purchase that new gun safe for your home or apartment.
Most all gun safes are made of steel and cannot be damaged by a thief but, they can be damaged by fire and water. With water means rust is nearby and all of my firearms being made of metal that is not a good combination. You may have to up your budget a little to get the protection that you want.
