My little sister lives with her boyfriend of 2 years in NYC. I don't get to see them very often (I have actually only met her bf like four times) as they live far away from where I do so I decided to go visit them. On my last day there my sister and I were home alone. I was in my room packing and when I finished I went to look for my sister. I found her in her bf's office putting something in the safe. She shut the safe door quickly but not before I saw what was in it. There were probably ten kilos of coke, stacks of cash and guns in it. When I thought he was a lawyer (that is what they told me he did) he seemed like a nice guy and a really good match for my sister. But finding out he is a coke dealer is disturbing. I don't know what to do. I don't want her to waste her life with him. What should I do? What should I say?
I would talk to her about it and let her know you want her to be happy but you also want her to be safe. If he is dealing coke you can bet they are doing coke which is almost worst then the selling. This is going to mean that her choice in leaving him would also involve her quitting coke or at least having to pay someone for it.
The thing that worries me the most about your problem is the amount of drugs, cash, and weapon ... he is obviously not some small time dealer which means that he probably is involved with some pretty nasty people that you wouldn't want to piss off. I would let her know that she is potentially getting her self into a situation that will not be easy to get out of.
I would try to point out all the different ways a life like this could lead to jail, overdose, or being killed. You need to remind her that this is her LIFE and she could loose it all if she continues to live this way. Thats all you can do.
