Write a program which counts the number of digits in a number.
And also
Write a program that mimics the operation of a combination lock. A typical combination lock will open only after its dial has been moved to the three numbers of combination in the correct order. For example the combination "6-12-30''. Make sure that the message safe opened/not opened is after entering the three numbers..
Please send me as soon as possible...since I cannot worked them out....
I have loads of these type of programs to...and I don't know how I am going to do them....
I won't do your homework, but here are some hints:
To count the number of digits in an integer:
set a counter equal to one
divide the integer by ten and save the result
increment the counter
repeat until the division yields zero
To mimic your combination lock:
prompt the user for three numbers
use "if" statements to see if they are the three numbers are correct.

How to dial open a safe
PROBLEMS WITH WINDOWS XP?
MY COMPUTER WAS LOCKED BY A PASSWORD, AND I PUSHED F8, AND STARTED WINDOWS IN SAFE MODE. AFTER DOING AWAY WITH THE PASSWORD, I RAN INTO ANOTHER PROBLEM. THAT IS, MY COMPUTER WILL NOT GIVE ME THE OPTION TO USE A DIAL-UP CONNECTION, ONLY BROADBAND. HOW DO I REMEDY THIS PROBLEM? ALSO, IT KEEPS SAYING THAT I NEED TO ACTIVATE WINDOWS, COULD THIS BE WHY I CAN'T SET UP A DIAL-UP CONNECTION?
Well maybe i forgot to turn off the caps lock. I got more on my mind at the moment, than caps.

2 you cannt use "dial-up connection" because the pc doesnot see you as the "Administrator" with the permission to use that function. because you donnt have the password.
3 there are freeware on www.snapfiles.com that deal with passwords
