Safe Diebold how secure are the 2008 voting machines?
i've done some searches and all i can find is a ton of videos showing how pathetically easy it is to hack the Diebold AccuVote-TS (electronic or DRE) machines that are being used in a lot of states.
have these machines been fixed? To be safe would it be better to use the optical scan machines (the ones with the fill in the bubble forms)?

Liebolds, I mean Diebolds, aren't secure at all. Ruby & Clark are absolutely right. I don't know why people think that they are. I voted today and tried desperately to get a paper ballot. The woman at the voting office argued with me for like 10 minutes saying they were secure. I disagreed, but soon realized she was a moron. They wouldn't issue me another absentee ballot (mine has disappeared), so I was forced to vote on that stupid machine. I can tell you one thing though, when the results come in from my county, I will be comparing them to the people I know voted for the candidate I did. If the numbers don't match, I am prepared to collect signed & notarized affidavits from everyone who voted for said candidate, and be prepared to fight it. We will not be silenced!
