Safe Great Dirty
Black Lab/Newfie.?
I have a 10 year old Black lab/Newfie. Okay this may sound bad, but I don't bath him, only after we go camping or if he gets dirty outside, so it's safe to say that I only bathe him when it's necissary.
Anyways, the reason why I don't bathe him much is because he isn't dirty! His coat has a natural vanilla scent. I mean not like real vanilla, but similar! Does anyone elses dog have this great coat smell? I asked my vet about it, and all taht he said was "Well, you have a very, very lucky dog to have such a naturally clean coat!" and that's all. Not to brag or anything, but he has the best hygeine I've ever seen in a dog.
My dogs don't stink either. And yes, I have friends and family that will attest to that. lol
I only bathe them when nessacary.
I think it has something to do with living indoors as every person I know that has a dog that lives outdoors also has a dog that smells REALLY bad.
Health conditions, diet, and oral hygeine can also play a big roll in a dogs odor.

Is "Dirty Talk" Pet Head shampoo ok for puppies?
We just got an olde english bulldog and he's 10 weeks old. I was walking around in Petco and found Dirty Talk by Pet Head aka Bed Head and it didnt say if it was safe for puppies. It smells so good and the packaging is great, but i dont want to use the shampoo if it'll irritate or not be good for my pup. Any ideas?
he is an olde english bulldog, he does not have the health issues a reg. english has. his skin is fine, not dry or anything. i just want to know if the shampoo is bad for him.
I wouldn't use for a few months. Puppies really need the gentle puppy shampoo & tearless as they don't know how to act while getting a bath. bulldogs can have skin issues & giving him dry skin won't help no matter how nice it smells.
