took the safe out of the trunk after opening it without permission and took the safe to a nearby gas station because he was "curios to see whats inside it". Is that legal?
There has to be more this story, there had to have been probable cause to open it, does the person have priors ? Was there a recent robbery involving a safe ? Drug dog pick up on something ?

My mom is going on a cruise in the Gulf area in two weeks, is it safe to go on a cruise?
She's going with family, so it's not completely scary, but are there chances of hurricanes in the Gulf of Mexico area any time soon? Also should she bring a small safe/lock box, or rent out a safe on the boat for valuables (i.e. birthcertificates, I.D.s, cash, etc.)?
This is hurricane season in that area until November and the Gulf has been very active, but the cruise ships watch that stuff very closely and steer clear of any impending storms - even if they have to alter their destination(s) and/or sit somewhere to wait it out, but most major storms are seen days ahead of time and are watched. In fact, there's one out in the Atlantic heading toward Puerto Rico now which has been watched for the last few days.
