Safe Moisture Protection
How to look after a D-SLR Camera on a budget? ?
I just purchased the D60, my first digital camera. I was wondering how to protect it from dust and moisture, on a budget. I can't really buy a dedicated air tight safe or cabinet, so I was wondering what things I can buy to have the next best protection.

My suggestion: buy a waterproof camera bag! These are relatively cheap, can be bought at many retailers (Ritz Camera, Samy's Camera, Best Buy, Circuit City), and protect a great deal of protection. I have a Tamrac bag at the moment, and it's protected my 30D, 50mm f/1.4, and Tamron 17-50mm f/2.8 for about two years. Never had a problem with moisture or dust. Best of all, it only cost me $30 at Ritz Camera!

"Flippy" hair?
I have shoulder length hair--at least in the back. Everytime I take a shower my hair dries outward in the back. The closest example I can think of is Carol Brady from the Brady Bunch(lol). I've tried straight ironing my hair and sometimes it works, but not always. However, I don't want to damage my hair with ironing and blow drying(but I did get heat protection spray) all the time. I've gotten in the habit of brushing my hair straight back, and letting it dry that way and I've found it makes it a little better. Does anyone know of any safe, yet effective methods, shampoos, and/or conditioners I could use? (I currently use Tail & Mane shampoo, and Aussie moisture conditioner)

Have you tried a good ceramic flat iron? Do you let it air dry or blow dry? If you blow dry it, use a round brush & brush it under as you dry it.
*** Also, is it flipping up b/c it's hitting your shoulders? Then yeah, I would curl it under. It relaxes after a while, my hair does the same thing, but it won't hold a curl. So I just blow dry it under, & it looks pretty good. Good luck!
*** Last edit: I read that mousse only works if you blow dry it, b/c it's heat activated. (I only know that b/c I tried it too, lol)
