Safe Portable Portable Apps safe to use on school computer?
OKay..Ive heard about these portable applications, and I was wondering if they would be safe to use on a school computer..aka..so I dont get caught. I want to be able to communicate with my boyfriend ( whom lives in another state and starts summer vacation earlier then me) during a free period..I suffer from a form of depression and my school day would be alot easier if I know i dont have to wait until 9 oclock at night to talk to him.
I would appreciate some help. What I would NOT appreciate is people saying " Dont do it youre going to get in trouble, its illegal, ect ect." Hes worth it, and Ill take my chances.
I would say portable apps is completely ok, (i actually know at least 3 or 4 people that bring it to my school), but using it to break your schools policy such as for Instant messaging, games, etc... could get you into trouble. The odds of someone actually doing anything about it depends on how strict the school is. Honestly the people i know that have it use it only for games and teachers don't seem to mind as long as it isn't disrupting work, such as using it during free time in study hall or homeroom.

are there any circumstances when a portable gas generator is safe to operate in a screened-in porch?
I'm thinking most of the Carbon monoxide comes out the exhaust pipe. Why not add a longer pipe(12 ft) to extend the exhaust pipe so the exhaust can be directed outdoors away from the indoors. Also, high velocity fans can be used to blow the air away from the indoors. Two carbon monoxide detectors would be helpful. limiting the time of day and the number of hours of use might help. definitely don't want to sleep while the generator is running.
