What is Virus Protector?
Virus Protector is another variation of the latest fake security software fraud which is able to change its name and appearance according to the Operating System it infects. As the name of the application suggests, Virus Protector appears on computers using Windows Vista. This malware seeks to gain purchase by convincing the user that it is a legitimate security software. Virus Protector performs falsified system scans, generates fake security alerts – all in pop-up messages, which is irritating as well.
