Safe Rechargeable
Rechargeable batteries giving off sound ?
After i charge my rechargeable AAA batteries, i put in into my wireless mouse. Then i heard a weird buzzing sound. So i remove the batteries and realize the sound is coming out from it. After buzzing non-stop for about 10 minutes, it stops. Is it safe to continue to use the batteries ? Will it explode ?
That buzzing is probably the batteries venting gas. There's a little plastic seal at the top which vents at a certain pressure, and it tends to tick or buzz when it does this.
Venting happens when the cell is faulty (in which case you need to replace it) or they have been severely overcharged by the charger. If the charger is a "dumb" one which you need to manually turn it off, you may have left them in there too long. Or if it's a fast "smart" one, the charger may be faulty and dumped too much current into the batteries. It also may have not detected end of cycle for some reason, and carried on overcharging them.

Can I use my rechargeable AA camera batteries for other products?
My old digital camera had rechargeable AA batteries and I wanted to use it for other stuff, but don't want to test it and ruin the product. Is it safe to use?
depends on the specific batteries. some can be used in other products and some can not. i would say to check the package but i doubt you have it still. maybe you can ask someone at an electronics store that carries your product
