Is it safe to buy a cell phone on Amazon.com?
I'm trying to buy a Samsung Eternity but when i checked amazon the prices were unbelievable! at the retail store its about $225 but at Amazon check out it said only $49.99? is there some sort of trick behind this?

How safe is it in Pakistan for a Westerner?
How safe is it for a westerner (white australian male) who has to go to Pakistan to work for a week?
I am not sure what part of Pakistan it is, and is not till March 2009, but we have to setup a retail coffee store as part of global expansion. I am guessing it is a main city. Should I be scared?
Thank you and please keep your answers coming -is there anybody who is in Pakistan now, or who has been there in the last few months, that can add opinion?
Pakistan is as safe for a foreigner as it is for any local person. Seriously.
The terror attacks that we face on periodic intervals in parts of Pakistan are not targetting any foreigners. They target security forces and the local masses.
Coffee chain? Is it COSTA COFFE? (we already have a few branches in karachi, lahore and islamabad) =D
Anyways.. no. There's no reason for alarm or being scared. I've spent all my life in Karachi and i can safely say that the expansion would definitely be in one of those posh areas of some major city of Pakistan. You would be made to stay in a luxury hotel or an elite neighbourhood. So from the security (and comfort) point of view, its gonna be great. Infact if you can take some time out (and if you happen to be in Karachi), do have dinner at the Salt & Pepper Village and enjoy a stroll in the cool breeze along the shore (ooh.. the IbneQasim Park is there too -- its dubbed as Asia's largest park).

PS: we are having eid-ul-azha from Dec 9 to Dec 11. You will definitely see a lot of goats, lambs and cows being slaughtered (and a lot of mess due to that) outside houses in different localities. So bear with that! =D
