Home insurance relocation fees
So after we were burgled we moved from the area and from our flat as we didn’t feel safe
We moved to a really nice new estate into a house which is more secure and has a burglar alarm
Why then are we being robbed again by our insurance company Barclays!?. They have told us they now need to charge us for a “relocation fee” (what to change the address on the account!??) AND our insurance premium has gone up just because of the new post code!!
Also we have no choice to pay the new fees as we have an insurance claim that is still going through and if we cancel our policy they will cancel the claim!
I think this is disgusting!
Anyone know on average the percentage of people who relocate after a burglary as Barclays must be raking it in with this “relocation fee”.
Also, can we dispute this new quote as they are just basing it on the post code which covers seven districts!!
