How to keep my money safe?
Ok, just a couple of minutes ago i asked my parents how much money i have in my savings account and they said that I have under a dollar in my savings account, and in the past I checked my savings and I had a little over a thousand in it. They told me that had spent almost all of it insurance and bills. It made me mad because I was going to use all that money, and more i'll put in it, and the interest on it, for college, and now have to start all over, and they might use that money too. What can I do to keep my money safe from my own parents? I don't want to stash money at home, but am going to have to?
So I assume you are a minor and your parents are trustees on your account, right?
First of all, I can understand why you're upset, but it sounds like they really needed that money to maintain your health insurance and pay the electric bill and what not.
But going back to your question, how to keep of how to keep it safe. You really can't by putting it into a bank account. Your parents / guardians will need to be on the account.
