When is it safe to start having unprotected sex after starting on birth control pills (disregarding STD's)?
When does birth control pills start taking its course when first taken? I had unprotected sex one week after starting on birth control pills. I'm more concerned about a 2nd unplanned pregnancy. My body is changing, as far as the way I feel. Could be the pills. Took a pregnancy test and results were negative, but I should get my period in the first week on July. Does that make a difference to the results of the pregnancy test? Worried!
The 'rule of thumb' is to wait for 3 months for the pill to get into your system HOWEVER, in reality from the first pill (if you take them EVERY DAY and do not miss, skip etc) you will be more protected than you were.
Pregnancy test would be negative still if your period isn't due for 2 weeks but also you wouldn't be feeling any body changes either (pregnancy related)
Pills can cause different reactions and even the same pilled used by the same woman but at different times in her life can cause completely different reactions so I think it would be safe to say your body is reacting to the pill and you are not pregnant.
Stick with the pill.

He and I are both students, I like him but he had quite a few sex partners.Though he uses protection all the time, condoms are not 100% safe to STD. I don't want to get infected and I don't want to be rude either.

It might be awkward and rude to ask for an STD report, but it's worse to find out too late that he was actually infected. You might have to deal with annoying genital warts your entire life, or something infinitely more worse, just because you afraid to ask a guy to take a couple tests. If you're just looking for a hook up, I'd say it's not worth it and you should just not have sex with him ever. If you are in a relationship with him, however, you are fully entitled to that information. In fact, it'd be rude of him NOT to ensure to you that he is STD-free.
