Safe Wireless
Is it safe to be around a wireless router 2.4ghz while im 18 weeks pregnant?
We have a wireless router inside our room and it's open almost 24/7. Im worried that it might affect my baby inside me. I did check it over the net but have not found direct answers. Any suggestions?
There are far worse things. Cordless phones are 2.4ghz or 5ghz. Then you have TV, microwaves and cell phones. We can't live in lead boxes. We are exposed to RF energy from so many different sources even the sun. I think your baby will be fine.

Is it safe to share wireless connection with others?
I'm using a public wireless network. I'm wondering is it safe to share using a wireless network with other people? And if other people's computer gets infected will it somehow compromises my computer security?
If you visit a free clinic, will you get the same care as the hospital in beverly hills? No.
Public WiFi spots are just that -- unmonitored free internet. By joining the network, you are connecting to the router to connect to the internet. If the person know what s/he's doing behind the same router, he/she can go to the router and turn around to attack your computer.
So just make sure it's an OK place ... even so, I wouldn't stay on longer than to check my e-mails and disconnect right away.
Edit: following up on the other coment; yeah... Open access internet connections are still a grey area in the law. However, just last week, I read that at a pub who had free WIFI access, the pub got slammed with a heavy fine and the cops interviewed the people who used the internet connections there because someone downloaded child pornography.
