Scope Mount GLock
whats a good pistol scope for a 357sig glock?
ive got a mount coming in and id like to be able to hit a can at about 150'. whats a good size scope and brand? thanks
So, Kevin, I tend to echo what the first two responders have said, and that is if you are reasonably practiced, hitting a target the size of a soup can or a soda can is about equivalent to shooting out the bullseye of a normal indoor target at about 30 feet or so. While not trivial, most shooters can get there with some practice.
However, shooting with optics can be fun. So, you have a couple of options. The first is to go with some form of a red dot sight. Ton's of brands here I tend to prefer for a mid range the Truglo red dots, at the cheap end you have brands like ATN, Burris, Tasco and then at the higher end EO-Tech, C-More (my favorite in this group) and Trijicon.
The limitation of red dot sights is that with only a few very expensive exceptions they have no magnification. Only a dot. Which glows. Which actually is cooler than it sounds.
If you want magnification you actually have to go to a scope. BSA, Bushnell, Burris, Redfield and Beeman Air Guns of all companies make various sorts of compact super long eye relief pistol scopes. Other companies do as well, but those are off the top of my head. I would recommend no more than a 4x scope, and not an adjustable. Probably you'll be able to find a 4x20 possibly a 4x40 but I doubt larger than that. Generally, you don't see this sort of scope on a glock, because they are more common on hunting revolvers, so about any of these will be fine since they are designed to handle the recoil of magnum caliber rounds.
I actually have a 4x20 pistol scope on an air pistol I have, just set it up on a lark and I have a ton of fun with it.

Glock 22 40 cal with Mako scope mount
I need 357sig Glock scope advice. I have the Mako shoulder stock, scope mount, and tactical front grip?
Advice is definitely needed as I'm a relative novice when it come to turning your Glock effectively into a rifle. What kind of scope? What maximum range should I expect from this firearm w/ my current setup?
Red dot or low power pistol scope of 1-2x. Expect maybe 50yds without hold over. Eotech is very good but,expensive. BSA is ok on a budget. The Eotech will handle the abuse and recoil better. D
