Lexar USB Drive Vault problems??????Tech tech help please?
ok so....
I have some "important" files in a vault
.....
I use them at school....
(password protected vault so that if it gets stolen people won't be able to use them...)
My school is starting in 2 days...
When ever I try to open the vault I get this exact message
"Secure II (2) was unable to start vault secure services, the Encrypted vaults feature is now disabled.
If this problem continues, please restart your computer."
This has been happening since
June but I thought It would fix it self by now.....
Yes I have restarted my computer
(probably 100s of times )
and yes I have taken the USB drive out and put it back in
the problem started when I got "Trend Micro"
although I can't "blame Trend Micro" because I have no proof.....
any advice?
Those files are important in keeping the schools computers Virus clean and "safe"
I am on windows xp
and have a Imac if it has to do with "Trend Micro"
Try putting the usb drive in another different pc that does NOT have trend micro. If it works there, pull off your files, unencrypt the drive...then put your files back.
Best idea I have.

I write information to a disk and then store that disk in the safety deposit box at my bank.
That way, my house can get burglarized and/or burned down and the information will still be safe.
If you're really paranoid, you could even encrypt that information before you write it to disk.
