Secure Wall Floor
Need to replace a piece of laminate flooring in the middle of a room.?
I have a damaged piece of laminate flooring in the middle of the room. How can I replace it, so it is secure, without pulling floor from the outside wall back to that spot?
I did laminate floors for a little while, and as far as I know there's no good way to do it. You could carefully cut out the bad piece, and try to glue (Liquid Nails) a new piece tightly in its place. You'd have to cut the locking ridges on the new piece with a razor knife so it could lay flat. Might not be perfect, but it would save a lot of hassle.

It is getting more and more difficult to keep valuables safe and secure from thieves even in your own home. This article looks at some good options.
There are so many options that are available now, but rather than being helpful, this can sometimes be very confusing and lead people to not making the right decision, or worse, putting off making a decision at all. To get a security safe that is right for your needs the dimensions, weight, security level and fitting are all considerations to be weighed up.
The best place to start is thinking about your inventory, what is going inside? How much space will that take up? Is the list likely to change? This will help decide the dimensions and security level. Good advice would be to purchase the smallest safe that fits your valuables with the highest security setting you can afford.
Think now about where the safe is going to go, walls, floors as well as cupboards are common places and not as difficult to install as you may think. Added to this, safes installed in concrete floors are much less susceptible to fire damage, depending upon the nature of the valuables this may be a valid consideration.
How do you want to access your safe, do you want to use a key? Or remember an electronic code? Arguably electronic code safes are easily changed without the need of a locksmith and there is no risk of a lost key, this can therefore be a more popular option. There are other options for safe entry available in addition to these listed, but are not normally for domestic use.
Think carefully about your choices, good research at this stage means owning a safe that is suitable for years to come and consequentially a good investment.
