Security Gps Car
GPS system stolen from Avistar parking lot in JFK airport?
Does anyone know of what procedure I can take besides calling there airport security claims department?
Last weekend I parked at Avistar parking lot for 4 days. When I came back to JFK from Phoenix my GPS system was stolen. My car was not damaged so an employee must of took the key, opened up my car and stole it, then locked the car back up (how nice of them). Any advice would help.

And by the way I contacted the police after it was stolen.

Do a police report. Are you sure it was an employee? Could a friend or family member have access to your car? Were their video cameras that can be rewinded to show the perpetrator?
GPS theft is an increasingly common crime. You shouldn't have had it visible. Now you know.

- Does this unit come with antenna's? This unit comes with a magnetic base GPS antenna. For the analog TV function and AM/FM radio you can use your cars own antenna or buy a separate antenna (an antenna signal splitter may be needed to feed both the TV and Radio antenna inputs).
- Do I need to remove the piece of plastic which is sticking out the battery compartment of the remote control? Yes, please remove the little piece of plastic. It was inserted to keep the battery and the terminals separate so as to not waste battery power.
