what is the best network security for small - medium company?
Small, medium, or large, Novell Client is the best networking solution. On the client's end, all they have to do is type log-ins and access their folders. On the administrator's end, you can add or dismantle drives, block websites, hide drives from certain log-ins, provide feedback, send messages, etc...

Smith and Wesson Medium Homeland Security
How would UPS deliver a medium package to me if my apartment has a security gate to enter?
I have this same problem and forgive me, but it pisses me off quite a bit.
My building only has a security door. Until this leasing year, there was an unspoken agreement that we could leave the door open during the day if expecting a package, but you would get stern words if the door was open after 6pm. We now have a neighbor who complains anytime someone props open the door.
The door thing actually turned into a very big spat between neighbors and neighbors and also between tennents and landlord. My landlord's solution to the problem was to have the package delievered to the main ofice which far from my building.
I have a hard time traveling because of illness. I suggested somekind of doorbell or intercom system might be nice. The idea didn't go over too well, but maybe you will have more luck with it.
If UPS does get in somehow, if you have to sign for your box it will not be left. If the box does not need a signature, then occasionally they will leave it if the chance of it being stolen is low.
If you don't want to sit and wait or check constantly, leaving a note with a cellphone or home phone number might help, too.
