Security Pistol Does the second amendment give the right for a 2nd grader to take a loaded pistol to school?
"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."
If we bar a 2nd grader from taking a loaded pistol to school, how does that NOT infringe on their right to keep and bear arms? Where in the amendment does it refer to adults?
See, this is why lawyers are useful. They would have made that amendment several sentences so it was perfectly clear what was being said, instead of that run-on nonsense that causes so much trouble.

Is an mp5k a good home security weapon ?
9mm just like a pistol sooooo......
I have spent my time behind a trigger of an MP5. They are much more reliable now then they were in the past. The full-auto version would probably work well as a home defense weapon but there are reasons not to use it in that capacity.
Full auto is expensive and the licensing process can be tedious. Since if you use a weapon is self defense you will probably never see it again it is best not to use a $15,000 weapon.
Plus the last thing you want to the jury in a civil suit (if you use lethal force you WILL be sued) is a big bad machine gun..
I am not against the 9mm round per se. I carry a Glock 19 loaded with +P+ rounds and I am well armed. The advantage of 9mm is that it is light and easily controllable, meaning you can carry and handle it everywhere. But if you are at home and do not have to worry about concealment and can shoulder the weapon then you can seriously increase the stopping power.
I recommend the a 20 gauge shotgun cut down to the shortest legal length. You can buy one even shorter if you but the same permit that allows you to get a full auto weapon. 20 gauge has the exact same knock down power on a person as the 12 gauge but is easier on the shoulder and way easier to get a good follow up shot (or shots) in the place you want it.
The MP5 is a great weapon but there are better for home defense.
