Small Safes how can i build a safe small garden pond?
i would like to build a pond in my garden but i am worried about my younger brother falling in. i want to keep guppies, sword-tails and terrapins. something small and easy without too much maintenance would be ideal. also, i cannot buy filters or pumps. oh and it would be cool if frogs lived in the pond =) thanx!
You can have a pond in a casserole dish if you want. You do not need a pump. Use submerged and floating vegetation to keep it clear. A mosquito fish or Mosquito Dunks will keep mosquitoes away. looking for a small, safe, affordable town in eastern North Carolina that recieves annual snowfall?
If I ever get my own place I would like to live in a small town in eastern North Carolina. However, I would also like to be in an area that recieves regular snowfall because I do enjoy snow in the winter, and that is safe and affordable to live in with a good job market. Can anyone suggest some small towns anywhere in the east that recieve regular snowfall on a yearly basis? I would prefer a town or area that I could visit easily from either Maryland or New York state, and stay somewhere if I needed to because I would most likely want to visit the area first. But I would still like to be in a small town in a safe affordable area with a good job market. Any suggestions would help. Thanks.
Snowfall in NC is never a guarantee anywhere, except in the Western Piedmont and in the mountains. Central and Eastern NC sometimes gets hammered with snow (10+ inches) and some years there is only flurries. A good area in eastern NC may be New Bern. It's one of the larger cities with a small-town attitude.
