I'm looking for a cheap solid walnut floor?
Can anyone recommend me a supplier??
although you can get pretty good cheap wooden flooring,
try a wood reclamation yard, they have some great buys! you just have to put a bit of work in cleaning it up. but an excelent alternative to snap together cheap cack.

How do I build good speakers?
I just moved to a bigger house and I'm upgrading my home entertainment system. I got a nice, new Marantz 7.1 receiver my old Bose acoustamess teeny weeny speakers sound like crap (they always did but that is beside the point) in the bigger room. My friend Boris (yeah that is really his name) said that his brother built his own speakers and they sound better than anything he has ever heard and that is saying a lot because he has really expensive Mission speakers. I have a pretty much complete wood shop but know nothing about building speakers. I built my dining room table and china cabinet from solid walnut. What's the best wood? Where do I get the woofers and tweeters? How do I know how big to make the boxes?
It's a bit complicated. You need more knowledge that I can offer in this small space. First get a copy of a design program. I use Boxplot. There is also Calsod but that's a bit pricy. You want to make enclosures out of a dense resonant free material such as MDF and cover it with solid wood or veneer. Partsexpress.com has a wide range of drivers and crossovers. Do the research, don't rush it and you will end up with Boris brother quality speakers. Almost anything will beat those Bose trash cans.
