Standard Safe
Is it safe to take my standard dachshund running with me?
A pace of a five minute mile.
It sounds like almost everybody agrees I should take my dachshund for fast runs.
That may be too fast for a dachshund.
You can try it, but if the dog seems to be getting tired, don't force him/her to keep going at that rate.
Another thing about dachshunds is that their backs are more fragile/vulnerable to injury. Excessive exercise can hurt their spines. Just keep that in mind.

It's Time to Set the Standard for Safe Fish Farming
is it safe to give a 6mo old standard poodle pup those rope chewey toys with the fringes on the ends?
mine seemed to pull at and chew at the fringes. I was afraid she would pull out threads of it and swallow it.
I don't know that much about poodles, but I had a german shepherd puppy and a golden retriever puppy and they both played and tore up toys like that. They were fine, but if you see her actually swallowing pieces take them away.
