Drawing The Privacy Line When It Comes To Home Security
At some point everybody has wished they could be the fly on the wall. Whether or not it would be productive, educative, or beneficial to be looking and listening in on some of these off-limits situations is another question. It's one thing to see detectives and secret agents in spy movies checking in on their hidden camera stashed all around the house, but nobody goes to those lengths in real life, do they? Not to scare anyone, but the truth is that it's quite likely you yourself are filmed far more of the time than you realize. From accidentally wandering into the backdrops of other people's photos, to cleverly placed security cameras, and even on to hidden cameras the only place many of us go in a day that isn't being watched is home- and now secret cameras are even popping up in residences! The key to this new technology is to use it as the valuable home security measure that it is, and not abuse one's recording privileges. Believe it or not there are some appropriate situations in which to install a security camera.
Going online, the average shopper can purchase, quite affordably a tiny camera to hide within the home. Or, amateur spies can take the guesswork out of camera placement by going straight for a built-in camera. Some of the latest in incognito spy cams include wall clocks, soft cases, hard "storage" cases, smoke detectors, carbon monoxide detectors, air fresheners, picture frames, and more. The average house guest would hardly expect their every move was being recorded. Just by "calling" into the camera, the owner can access live sound and video. While the implications of this technology do not directly lead one to think of applying it as a home security system, that is the intended and noble use.

If it is a regular employee, it's best to have the person sign off on being recorded, even if he or she doesn't know exactly where the camera is hidden. For those wanting to monitor who is getting what in or out, you can be sure that you will only be recording those with a very specific purpose. For increased home security homeowners should also consider setting up cameras just inside main points of entry like the front and back door. This way, should the homeowner hear a noise, instead of putting oneself in the dangerous position of going to investigate, it's possible to simply see what's going on from upstairs- behind locked doors.
Keep in mind that a spy system is not a home alarm system, and will not serve to scare away intruders, or summon assistance in the event of an emergency.
