Swords Knife
Are Sword And Knife Bans Unconstitutional?
The 2nd Amendment protects our right to bear "arms", meaning armaments or weapons. A sword, a knife, a dagger, a club, those are weapons. Therefore any government ban against them is unconstitutional, what do you think?
When the constitution was written, men were still riding on horses using swords and bayonets were attached to muskets. I think "Arms" means anything that could be used in battle, including swords and any sort of object that has and will be used in a war that one man could use. So, the answer above me saying swords do not count as "arms" needs to go back to history class...
I also think "Arms" are military grade weapons that could be used by civilians and militias to fight other militaries with military grade weapons to defend this country. So, even regulating military grade weapons like the basic M-16 is, as far as I am concerned, and infringement on the constitution. How do you expect to defend a country with weapons that are inferior to an attacking country? That was the purpose of the second amendment, as well as being able to protect yourself from your own government when they go wrong. But, I guess it is for "the safety of the public" right? :-/

Does The Right To Bear Arms Apply To Knives And Swords?
Or only firearms?
Will it apply to laser guns in the future?
Arms are defined as all weapons so yes, knives and swords are included in our 2nd Amendment right to keep and bear arms. Anyone who says otherwise is either a fool, a liar, an enemy of freedom, or some combination of all of those.
