NIGHT CROSSING
Below us the channel shifts
In massive unseen currents
And everywhere the engine's throbbing
Thuds over the sea's cold roar,
So heart cannot be heard,
And the skin lies chill.
Up here, petrol-sick, I blink, vexed
In the feeble and unwelcome lights:
Is she sleeping now? And
How did we get this far so soon?
Boat motion shrugs
Away the problem:
It'll be dawn soon, over
The seagull grey of endless cliffs;
And then the crowded funnel
Of luggage checks and tags;
From there the pitching roar of the train
Bearing me ever north;
And at last the scrape of the key in the latch,
The towelly smells,
The numbly adhesive horrors of home.

Is this old luggage worth anything?
I got a set of American Traveler luggage made by Texon at an estate sale. A letter inside says it was custom made. The luggage has never been used. It is in perfect condition with all the keys, original tags, even the seals over the keyholes are still in place. Who would be a good source to call to find out if this is worth anything?
luggage from days gone by has little value because it can't be used today without oversize fees charged by the airlines
the airlines all have size limits now and prefer soft sided luggage for weight
try ebay to value it
other than that i don't see a way for it besides storage in the bottom of your own closet
